Since its start in 2009, the scapos AG offers research organizations and SMEs support in the distribution of their software products. scapos customers include research institutes such as the Fraunhofer Institute SCAI or the Maritime University of Szczecin, but also companies like SIDACT GmbH.
The Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing SCAI conducts research in the field of computer simulations for product and process development, and is a prominent corporate partner in the industrial and science sectors.
SCAI designs and optimizes industrial applications, implements custom solutions for production and logistics, and offers calculations on high-performance computers. Our services are based on industrial engineering, combined with state-of-the-art methods from applied mathematics and information technology.
Fraunhofer IAIS explores and develops innovative systems designed to analyze data and to make information available. On the one hand, the institute realizes application solutions in the fields of data mining, business intelligence or high-resolution management for optimizing products, services and processes. On the other hand, IAIS develops systems that use innovative forms of media presentation to help make large amounts of data (data warehouses) accessible (knowledge extraction, interactive exploration, knowledge management, media analysis and visualization).
Protecting man from health hazards in our industrialized world and contributing to the development of novel therapeutic approaches – these are the aims pursued at the Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine ITEM.
A focus is on airway research. A wide range of airborne substances – pollutants but also pharmaceuticals – are taken up via the lungs. In collaboration with clients from industry and the public sector, Fraunhofer ITEM develops and tests novel medications against respiratory diseases – in particular asthma, allergic rhinitis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) –, studies mechanisms of action, and determines the risks from potentially harmful substances. The institute thus supports product development that keeps an eye on human health and the environment. Due to its highly qualified scientists, many years of experience, and a broad spectrum of expertise, Fraunhofer ITEM is in a position to develop innovative approaches in research and offer custom-tailored complete solutions.
The Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF in Magdeburg employs custom solutions to help German and foreign companies make their manufacturing smarter. The institute is a technology partner specialized in the planning, development, equipping and operation of work, manufacturing and supply chain systems as well as their supply infrastructures. It designs work systems in which humans and machines collaborate side-by-side and combines these work systems in efficient manufacturing and supply chain systems, employing smart infrastructures to connect them with each other and their environment.
Digital engineering integrated throughout product and manufacturing system life cycles is crucial. The Fraunhofer IFF achieves this with interoperable methods and tools as well as its expertise in robotics, testing and inspection systems, technology-based assistance and learning systems, and manufacturing and supply chain process engineering.
The core competence of ITWM is mathematics: the language used by scientists and engineers to formulate models for technical systems. In our time it is particularly important, as it provides efficient algorithms to compute and analyse such models.
Since its foundation in 1995 the ITWM has shown great success in building mathematical bridges between applied sciences and concrete application. Clients are large international companies as well as small and medium regional enterprises.
Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML advises companies of all industries and sizes in all questions about material flow and logistics.
For our customers we offer widespread services: As consultants we support in fulfilling new tasks and meeting requirements, as researchers we work out new solutions together with our customers, as planners we help to optimize the internal and external logistics and as developers we realize solutions in soft- and hardware. In the process, Fraunhofer IML focuses on company-specific, made-to-measure solutions and accompanies its customers from planning to implementation.
Maritime University of Szczecin
The Maritime University of Szczecin has the mission to educate highly qualified maritime staff i.e. navigators and mechanics answering the needs of contemporary transport and fishing fleet as well as offshore staff prepared to implement computer software and systems for supporting transfer of information in the transport-forwarding-logistics industry.
Beside the education and training the Maritime University also develops innovative technologies to support the navigators on board. A first product is the NAVDEC system which is distributed since 2013 by the scapos AG.
The company name SIDACT stands for Simulation Data Analysis and Compression Technologies which succinctly describes the business areas of the new technology company, founded out of the Fraunhofer institute SCAI. SIDACT is granted the exclusive marketing rights for the software programmes FEMZIP and DIFFCRASH.
asc(s – Automotive Simulation Center Stuttgart e.V.
scapos AG is a member of the asc(s, the Automotive Simulation Center Stuttgart e.V. since 2016. asc(s is a non-profit association that bundles the interests of its members in the field of virtual vehicle development and brings together stake-holders from industry, science and research.
Its members include OEMs as well as hardware and software developers, engineering service providers, universities and research institutes, as well as automotive suppliers. The network partners – whether they are internationally renowned players or start-ups – meet each other at eye level to advance their common goal, the mobility of the future. Members benefit from a globally unique research and development landscape with a special focus on high-performance computing and digitization.
